An-Nu’maan ibn Al-Basheer said: “He who does not thank Allaah for small favors will not thank Him for great ones; and he who does not express gratitude to people (for doing him favors) will not express gratitude towards Allaah. Appreciating and mentioning the favor bestowed upon one from Allaah is gratitude, and not doing so expresses ingratitude.” [Ahmad]imaam Ibn Al-Qayyim said: “The religion consists of two halves; one half is represented by gratitude and the other half is by perseverance.” Scholars have disputed regarding who is better, a rich person who is grateful, or a poor person who is patient, but it seems that it is best for the rich person to be grateful, and for the poor to persevere.“So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me”. [Quran 2: 152]Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And whatever of blessings and good things you have, it is from Allaah. Then, when harm touches you, unto Him you cry aloud for help”[al-Nahl 16:53] “Is not He (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls on Him, and Who removes the evil, and makes you inheritors of the earth, generations after generations? Is there any ilaah (god) with Allaah? Little is that you remember!”[al-Naml 27:62] And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor)”[al-Baqarah 2:186]

Yes we are okay to thank to another muslims who have given good advices or any other good doings to us.But in substance we should say alhamdulillah hi robbil alameen that all praises for Allah who has moved the hearts and minds of muslims to give advice to us( in your case to you)..We are all brothers and sisters who should be united,love,respect and help each other.We should make more good doings and avoid bad doing.This is in line with the Qur'an and Hadith as the life guide for all muslims.

Do Muslims accept words of thanks? it is ok. i always thank sisters and brothers for everything they do for me or my family. if it wasn't for half of the people here i wouldn't be as enlightened as i would be now.
Do Muslims accept words of thanks? I've always wanted to be supportive to you and help give you positive support. I can't say I know anything about what you have endured but I can say I whole heartedly have wished for your success in mind, body, and spirit. It's difficult having a disability. Sometimes the disability is more an obstacle for oneself then it is for all others around him/her. You have come a long way and this is only the beginning of happiness. Positive thinking and being able to identify that you were at a low point makes this a grand moment for yourself. You must have had an epiphany and know now the direction you need to take in your life to be satisfied. It's always nice to know others appreciate your efforts so I welcome your thanks even if they weren't for me.

Turn to Allah (swt) since He is and always will be your friend. You can turn to us here, since there are many brothers and sisters on the forum who have an excellent judge of moral character and are willing to extend a hand.(figuratively of course =P--unless technology advanced so fast that we can even pass food to one another through the screens.)Keep making du'a to Allah and always have your faith in our Creator, Most Compassionate and Most Merciful. To Allah we turn in times of pain for comfort, and to Allah we turn to in times of happiness for gratitude.You have my dua's Bro...take care =D
