If the Samsung S5230 has been unlocked and free from network restriction, It can be definitely used with an AT&T SIM card. But make sure how safe was the Samsung mobile unlocked. Certain unsafe unlocking methods like flashing may sometime give problem in accessing with other network's SIM cards. The safest and easiest way to unlock a Samsung S5230 is to unlock using unlock code.
