Unlocking means the user can switch between network carriers. If you want to unlock visit Onlinegsmunlock.com and get their permanent remote unlock service. iPhone supports only GSM models and hence you cannot use US Cellular which is a CDMA.Unlocking gives privelege to switch between GSM networks only.

Not exactly. You can use it for any GSM service provider (at&t, Unicel, t-mobile) but... not on services that are CDMA... It is two different types of technoligy that are not compatible. US Cellular is CDMA which is not compatible with the GSM I-Phone.

No sorry you have no chance of using it on USCC. They provide TDMA/CDMA, iPhone is GSM only.

If I buy an iPhone and use the software to unlock it, can I use it on US Cellular?

I want to buy an iPhone and use the software to unlock it and use it on US Cellular. Can I do that? If I unlock it does that mean that the GSM is unlocked and I can use it on any wireless carrier?
