    no it won't allow it to start if they cut in to a wire to hook it up to, it will disable it completely,and most of the time they do cut or splice in to the positive feed wire for the ignition or the starter relay,so by disconnecting it,you will probably disable the car,try and see if its got a fuse that protects the remote starter system and see if its blown,disabling it may disable the car from being able to be drove normally,i own a viper system and on most of them you have to cut in to a wire for the starter relay,good luck

    I have a '96 Dodge Ram 1500 with an aftermarket Audiovox Pro-9555 remote starter...?

    will disconnecting the power harness from the control module disable the system and allow the truck to start normally?
