Panasonic Video Camera Manual: What are they saying about copyright?

I just got a Panasonic video camera. In the manual they say:
"Copyright laws forbid the use of video and audio material you have recorded for any purpose other than your own personal enjoyment. Remember that restrictions apply to the shooting of certain material even if it is intended for private use."

I understand the thing about inserting DRM music. I won't use it without paying royalties. Not taping a concert nor pirating films at the cineplex is just common sense.

Are they saying I can't sell things I produce when I am the whole content creator?
    I'm vexed.

    Thanks
