I might sound nuts but I always changed my baby in the car whether there was a changing table or not. It might be "germier" but at least they were our germs that baby had already been exposed to and not the germs of a cold-ridden, not quite potty trained two year old with diarrhea that could've used the changing table before you.

I've been to several restaurants where i've had no choice but to change my baby on the floor of the ladies bathroom. Guess they just don't care.

yes, definitely! there should be a law that there needs to be at least one in every public bathroom.

I'm glad someone said it! Public places without changing stations scream "we are not child friendly" I recently went to a new stop and shop in our neighborhood and of course, baby poops. I go to the restroom (one single, not stalls) and there is no station or a counter! I went out and asked someone if they had another restroom and they told me it was upstairs. What?!?! I had to empty my shopping cart and change her in the bottom of it. Boy was I pissed! I will never go back there again. Oh and the whole 30 minutes this ordeal took me, one of the workers kept knocking on the door. Ugh. I thought about just walking up and changing her at one of the registers or on the pharmacy counter lol. If I really had guts, I would tell you that you shouldve changed the baby right on the table, left the diaper, and walked out hehe. Oh and mens rooms should totally have them too. Its a great excuse my hubby has....

    Absolutely. Unless it's a place that's not baby-friendly..like a bar.
And I also think they should have them in BOTH bathrooms. (Men and Women) You wouldn't believe how many places my husband and I have been together where there was a changing table in the women's but not in the men's.

Sure, they should... but most have them in both bathrooms if they have them at all, because dads change diapers too. :-)

I don't think it should be the law to have a changing table but it would be nice, right?

I also don't see the big deal about changing her on the counter. It's a bathroom counter, not a kitchen counter. Different sanitation standards there. :-)

Yes- and I think more should have them in the men's room as well. I mean it is not like men should be excluded from diaper duty.

Yes and to be honest, so should the men's. There are single fathers and father's who will change diapers too.
