Question About Kindle Self Publishing?

I have a few question about Kindle self publishing. first of all, I publish illustrated public domain books which is allowed if it has 10 or more pictures.
1. Why is my great gatsby taken down? I published the great gatsby and it went fantastic on selling, in 4 days I sold 1000+ copies, every copy was $0.99, then suddenly it was blocked and I received a message saying someone reported that I may not have the authority to publish this book. Amazon looked into it then it was taken down. So what was the problem? the book is public domain everywhere except america. would the problem be me selling it to the people living in america?would it be resolved if i do not sell the book there?
2. would I still get a check of all the great gatsby sold?
3.is 20000 leagues under the sea public domain? they reviewed it and asked me for information about the author and date of publication. I gave it to them and they decided to take it down.

These are all the question thanks, I will be so angry if I do not get a check from all the great gatsby i sold!!
