"Family Guy: Something, Something...Dark Side" DVD/Blu-ray Talkback (Spoilers) I don't think this was anywhere near as good as Blue Harvest. It seemed like they tired too hard with this one and used all their best jokes in the first one. There were some parts that were really good but overall I think it was kind of weak. Maybe I just need to watch it again.

"Family Guy: Something, Something...Dark Side" DVD/Blu-ray Talkback (Spoilers) finally watched it yesterday as for animation it was actually top notch and the A team was brought out. As for the movie itself, the first one was better. The writing just wasn't there and I found myself grimacing at many of the jokes. There were a lot of highlights with stewie surprisingly and luke's training in the degoba system had some moments. But I personally felt like the hans solo and leia part fell flat. And with boba fett as [spoiler]the chicken[/spoiler] I totally expected a really good fight scene. And I didn't get that. I wasn't upset with family guy something something...darkside but I was dismayed. In many ways it felt like a waste of time and that should never be for family guy

Too many "real-life conversation" bits mixed into this one, which are only funny if you talk to people all the time and have HAD those conversations, which I have not. I have never found H. John Benjamin's character funny. He's painfully boring, even as Yoda. I actually saw it at a friend's house with a group of people, and I was surprised to find myself laughing at most of the jokes. Although there were still some hits and misses, but I do credit them with the detail and shading done for the backgrounds. There was only one joke that missed the mark for not just me, but the whole group, in the way that it was more disturbing than funny... but besides that, most of the group enjoyed it. I do agree that it was better than Blue Harvest. Blue Harvest was honestly kinda boring. :/

I do periodic features on my "Voice Actors in the News" blog involving voice actors on DVD/BR, and it's a precursor to a wiki-type database I'll be launching at some point in the future. That said, could someone please provide a list for me which of the cast are involved in the commentaries, the two table reads, or any other cast appearances in the other featurettes? I also see that Seth Mac had a cameo in the special -- where exactly does he appear, timestamp-wise? If someone who owns this title would mind obliging me by helping to provide these details, I'd be very grateful and will even credit you for the info on the blog.
