Do you believe we should use gene splicing advancements to make animal human hybrids, so all species will be?

equal and each species can inhabit their own planet like something out of Star Wars? Or should we just keep trampling them and using them for meat?
I think it would be interesting. Why not?
I like meat too, but would give it up if cows were pleading me for mercy and crying and stuff.
