    I know who Jack Grisham is..

    I believe you have one of my grandfather's paintings. Jack Grisham is listed on AskArt.com. You may have already figured that out, since this thread is old. However; as I stated, Jack was my grandfather, and a very good painter. He was born in Texas, but lived several places before settling in Southern California, where he painted and owned an art shop where he provided restoration services. I see one of his paintings pop up on the web now and then for sale. He passed away in 1994, but has some family still in Texas, who possibly may still own several of his paintings. I remember fondly sitting with him and watching him sketch for us. He had an interesting life, much of which is still a mystery to me. Perhaps one day I will actually get to own one of his paintings as a remembrance.

    I have an oil painting signed Jack Grisham 1953.It appears to be an Indian woman...

    ...holding a baby .Who is he? This is my first time using this site.Hope some knows who the artist is.
