OTA on Flash Phones No GO?

OTA=Over The Air programming. Dial *228 and the NAM, MIN and MDN are programmed Over the Air vs manually programming.

OTA on Flash Phones No GO?

I flashed a q to for a friend and he tried to add wap and they said they couldn't do it but then he raised a stink with them and they did it anyways.

Then i had another friend who had me flash a q for them and then got on the phone with the reps and they said there is no possible way that wap works on flashed phones and wouldnt let him do it cause "we don't want you to be paying for a feature you can't use"

Man did i get mad! because i'm using a Q9M with working wap and mms that i flashed so i know for sure it works!

The only way i can think of to get them to put wap on your account is to add it before you switch your esn to the flashed phone...

If there is a way to make the rep put it on your account please put it out there because i'm getting extra mad at these reps who tell us that it wont work that don't even live in america..

OTA on Flash Phones No GO?

yes since the passworRAB and logins involve your min/mdn or whatever by default the phone will restore them after programming (to what ever the pre-programed formula for verizon is).

OTA on Flash Phones No GO?

yea, when you flash a new phone the nams are always set that. i tried it on my nam2 yesterday and it failed im wondering if OTA is setting a flag in the phone, or doing something that causes it to not OTA after once or twice.

i have noticed that once i try to OTA my wap stops working sometimes, and it defaults all back to vzw info.
