"&#-6164;a carte" packages Somebody from Bell TV has to be reading these posts, so here it goes: 1- Why do new Quebec platform customers not have access to TMN, Playhouse and Family online when they sub to these channels A LA CARTE? Error messages keep saying the proper theme pack must be purchased to have online access?? 2- Why does Bell.ca show Speed and NFL network as being available A LA CARTE, but the programming brochure and self-serve online page do not show them as being available A LA CARTE (Bell TV CSRs also say it is not possible to sub to them individually... why not?) 3- Why is WSBK and WSBK HD not available A LA CARTE, but included in the 30$ and 60$ Top Packages? 4- Why does the online Self Serve show CMT & W Network as being included in the new Quebec Basic, while the brochures and bell.ca Shop page do not include them in Basic? Which is right? CMT is shown as being part of the Favourites pack for 5$ in the brochure ?? General Question: When will HD channels be made available without the requirement to purchase SD versions (CNN and TSN are examples)? Almost all TVs being sold today are HDTV ready so why are you still forcing customers to purchase old technology to get the new technology? At the very least, allow customers to pick and pay for the SD versions without having to purchase an SD theme pack, A LA CARTE 15 or TOP package. There, I feel better now... Hopefully someone from Bell TV can solve these discrepencies and answer these questions. Thanks!

All I wanted from the favourites is BET, so I had to pay an extra $5 there From the A LA CARTE 15, all I wanted were about 4-5 channels, but had to pick 10 more channels that I wont ever watch just to fill it up. They need to add a A LA CARTE 5 for $10 package and add BET to to list of A LA CARTE. djino
"&#-6164;a carte" packages Yes It works... because this what I did when I switch from Videotron to Bell... Took only basic + 4 HD theme packs. I only added 30 A la carte package 2 weeks after.

"&#-6164;a carte" packages Are you totally sure about that? I'm asking because Videotron won't let you have only the Basic, you have to take at least one package, and the cheapest one is $7. As soon as the British Open is over on Sunday, I'm ready to ditch TSN. Which means I only need 3 channels: NBC HD, CBS HD (both are free with the Basic) and Golf Channel HD ($5 for HD More Sports) I would save $20! Basic: $28 HD More Sports: $5 Total: $33
"&#-6164;a carte" packages The $25 for basic is bugging me. Right now I have: Basic: $37 Sport 1 theme: $8 4 HD themes: $10 Total: $55. That's a lot since I only watch 4 channels: Golf Channel, TSN, CBS, NBC, and RDS only for Habs games. With a la carte: Basic: $28 15 channels: $15 4 HD themes: $10 Total: $53. I would only save $2 but I guess It's better than nothing. One thing though, Golf Channel is listed in the favorite, so I can't get it a la carte, but since the HD version is in the same HD theme as Sportsnet HD, I would assume that you don't need the SD version. Can anyone confirm that?
"&#-6164;a carte" packages The new basic is not based on the old Digital Standard, but on Base Numerique plus the Partout au Canada channels.
"&#-6164;a carte" packages The new a la carte packages are not really a la carte. In my case I just want Basic + Showcase HD and RDS HD and maybe TSN HD. To get that I need : $25 for the base $15 for the 15 channels when I only want RDS HD and TSN HD $5 for Showcase HD. $2.50 for TSN HD This blows because I couldn't care less about all the SD crap in the $15 "a la carte" package. They won't give me TSN HD and Showcase HD or RDS HD for "pick and pay" even though the brochure says TSN HD is "pick and pay" available. They are telling me I need to get the $15 for 15 package and choose TSN SD from there to be "allowed" to get the TSN HD on pick and pay. The a la carte stuff looks impressive at first glance but when you dig in, it is full of road blocks and "gotcha"s.
