Apples and oranges, regardless of what the labeling might be. The Suzuki answer to the KLR is actually the DR650SE The V-strom is a much more road-worthy machine than the other two. It can do everything better than the other two, besides go off road. It can go off road, but not as well as the other two. However, the other two, the DR and the KLR, have been made for a very long time. Parts availability, owners network, and mechanic's familiarity are both plentiful. The same cannot be said of the V-strom. My suggestion to you is to try and test drive them. At the end of the day, stats, numbers, and prices are meaningless if you are on a machine that you are not comfortable with.
