why my fish tank live plants are dieing/ goes black?

    1. in my fish tank the brown algea grows
    2. the temperature is 26C
    3. i leave fish tank lights on 10-12 hours a day
    4. the plant species are ''star grass''
    5. the lighting which i use for the plants are: juwel day light 45W ( the fish tank is 180Liters juwel rio)
    6. the fishes are , zebra danios , white cloud mountain minnows , black neon tetras
my plants are not reef plants , they are fresh water. i think brown algea has something to do with.
