Pontiac G6 Redesign! My Thoughts Your Opinions...? I think Pontiac should have put the G6 on the RWD Alpha architecture in early 2008 instead of mid 2009, but keep that distinct G6 look, with the sidelines that go up from the front doors. They should have added a 6 or 8 speed transmission, HiPer struts, heads up display, dual climate control, rear hvac, rear armrest with cupholders, rear audio entertainment system, hid headlamps, LED tail lamps, different interior colors (dark black, medium tan, light gray, white, dark Orange/brown), heated rear seats, cooled front seats, better door panels (leather trimmed, smooth edges, stitched, better layout or something to make them better), navigation, quieter interiors, this car would've been a hit! They should have added new engines including: Base- 1.1L Twin Turbo I3 iVLC 176HP and 220TQ. 27 city / 38 hwy GT- 2.5L eAssist, Start/Stop I4 iVLC 202HP and 187TQ. 29 city / 42 hwy or 2.0L TDI I4 151HP and 346TQ 32 city / 47 hwy GTP- 2.0L Turbo I4 iVLC 259HP and 295TQ. 24 city / 32 hwy GXP- 3.9L Turbo High Feature V6 VVT, SIDI, AFM and DOHC 349HP and 353TQ. 18 city / 28 hwy
