Medjai... Are they fact? fiction? ancient history? or do they still exist in

the here and now? Ok random question which hails from to much The Mummy movie marathons.

All I'm wondering is the Medjai even existed? if they still do? or am I just stabbing in the dark and they are movie based fiction :D.

They is exist as exactly portrayed in the movies but over time it changed to a millibars force, in which you had to be Egyptian background.
The it changed to a police force in which anyone could join.
But to this date and age it no longer exists. L
