BRAND NEW toshiba laptop's keyboard is not working in flash games. Why?

Hello. I just bought a brand new Toshiba Satellite L505 laptop around 6 hours ago and the keyboard works perfectly. However when I try to play a flash game it doesn't work. I do not believe it is defective because number 1, it's BRAND new, number 2 the keyboard works great in every application except flash. Is there some kind of settings perhaps that need to be adjusted? Also theres no way I need to install any drivers or anything of the sort (it's brand new). Do you know how to fix this problem?
It has Flash Player 10 currently installed.
