Does iPhone 3G support NEXTEL as a phone service provider?

I'm thinking of getting one and I use NEXTEL.

no not at all. nextel service will not support any phone other than a nextel or boost mobile unit(since they are the same company). the person above is correct abt the network. the technology is like no other in the US so no other providers phone will work on it.
