How to use panasonic lz20?

I got this camera for Christmas, and I love it, but it didn't say how to use all the controls properly, especially the exposure time and focus control (blurs a certain part of the photo) When I was looking at this camera in the shop , the assistant said it could, well, I can't remember what it's called but when you take a video or picture then layer another on top so there's two of the same object (Does that make sense? I don't know :L)
Anyway, apart from the really basic stuff which I've already worked out for myself, could anyone maybe teach me some of the features or link a website that does?
