I know of sites like .tk, which give you a totally free domain name, but they give you something like that, .tk, not .com

HI no you can't purchase .com domain name at free of cost ..Some hosting provider render free .com domain name along with paid hosting service if you get hosting service from them then you can purchase domain name from them at free of cost ......I usually wont prefer free domain name so i brought my .com domain name from the vendor 9cubehosting.com for affordable cost ..They also render good customer service and support ...
