Question about palm reading?

Why is it considerd to be "bad" or basically frowned upon by christians.

Im not a really religious person. I do believe in god, but unlike most christians including my family. I do not believe there is anything wrong with palm reading.

For someone to actually have that gift, its always marked as "evil" or dark. Which is silly. Why cant it be god who granted that ability to him/her??

For example; ( although its all tricks ) Most christians dont like people like cris angel because he does really crazy tricks that no one can explain, so its labeled as dark powers.

I just wanna know, is there anything wrong with palm reading. I saw a book on it and was really interested
