Why is Limewire illegal and YouTube free?

before October 2010 everybody can download music for free from WWW.Limewire.com
After October 2010 now we see this fallowing message...

you can get the same music by playing the audio/songs from YouTube.com And combining recording programs from websites Like Freecorder.com, Jaksta.com and Audacity.com .

MY QUESTION IS... how is it illegal to download music from websites like Limwire, But its OK to
record music as they play from websites like YOUTUBE?

Don't they BOTH Give you the same results as the other?
