Why do electronics tend to short out around me?

I heard it was something to do with magnetism or something, but for whatever reason electronics tend to go wonky around me. I'm not talking immediately like magicians in books, or whatever, but like I can't wear a digital watch for more than a year, because they short out and start acting wonky. I always have trouble with my computer and gaming systems freezing up, and my electronics tend to last half as long as the rest of my family. I've gone through three alarm clocks in the past two years. And it's not just my stuff- when I'm playing games with my brother on his Wii, or whatever, they start acting up too! So is there some kind of scientific explanation of this? Is there something I can do to stop it? Or am I just crazy? :)
