Best news station for quick hard news?

Hey, I'm in college and really love catching up on national news in the morning or at night...whenever I find time. I recently got into watching the news on a regular basis, but I want to find a news station that's un-biased and gives quick news....like hard hitting un-sweetened news.

Anyone have any suggestions? I do like FOX and CNN...but sometimes I feel like their shows are too pretty, like they focus too much on appearance and keeping the audiences attention. What's a good station/channel that just delivers the news? Get in get out sort of concept.
