Is the Yamaha F700S a good guitar?

I'm a beginner, and want a solid top guitar. And how much are lessons usually? Thanks.

i'd say you need to try it out for yourself... you are the one that has to like it if you get it... and i'm not sure about lessons but you can learn for free by watching lessons on youtube and learning to read tablature.

I have the FG700S Yamaha.I bought it from a pawn shop half the price as it was new £90.Its a great guitar nice sound and well built quality.J have tried more expensive ones before and this one is pretty close in quality to them.I also had cheap Martin Smith guitars before.Amazing sound on those.Yamaha has a more solid sound feel unlike the Martin Smith has more folk sound style to it. I am a big Johnny Cash fan and the Yamaha is doing a great job with his songs.Its also what strings you put in it too.I use light coated martins strings myself.Anyone knows any better quality strings pls write back.At around £170 or $250 new the Yamaha FG700S is worth it.If you can find it preowned great even better.Any new guitar starters there dont get Encore Guitars.I had one before and honestly it made sick on how bad badly built guitars can make you in never want to play again.Trust me a greatly playable guitar can make you want to play again and again non stop.My favourite guitar which I am saving to buy is the Martin D45.Amazing and beautiful guitar.
