I got this phone and I want to change the text message alert. Every time I get a message a woman's voice says, "message from..." and the name of the person who sent the message. How do I change it...

How do I change my gmail on my HTC Android?
I'm signed into my mom's gmail account on my new HTC Android phone because it used to be her's but I want to change it to mine. How do i do that? Please help me it's getting kind of annoying.
