when i play my ipod through the tape dick using one of those converter things it doesnt put out like any bass. When i listen to the radio it has its normal bass. Whats happening and how can i fix it....

Should i get a new stereo for my van?
I don't know whether or not i should get a new stereo. I have a toyota sienna, the one i currently have is a stock JBL stereo and i was wondering if there are better stereos out there for under 150$....
