    "PUMP PRICES","PRICE HIKE" and "STATE-RUN PETROLEUM COMPANIES".What do they mean?...

    ...Explain for me, please.? please explain for me their meanings (because i have to finish the report in English. I don't understand clearly the meanings of those words).

    Pump Prices are the prices charged for gas at the gas station. $2.49/gal here, today.

    Price hike = price increase.

    State run means that they company is owned by the government. We don't have those in the US. Yet.
