The mechanic says he needs to replace the catalytic converter on my 2004 Honda Accord because it has rusted to the extent that the heated oxygen sensor can't be screwed in. He has quoted the price of $875. Is that a fair price? It seems from shopping a bit online that the parts can be bought for under $250.
