...benefits of using these programming? Can anyone tell me why we use PHP, Javascript, ASP, ASP.NET ? What are the benefits of using these programming ?

I am very new in this field. I know these are used with HTML or HTML/CSS. But why do we need to use them. I heard that JQuery is used to simplify the bigger codes into smaller ones and its light weight , easy to learn and understand and its a library of Javascript.

Kindly, explain me about them.
