It was hobbits? When was it hobbits?!
Hobbits for 3 lousy movies. The vampire movies have been made for a century and just seem to be getting bigger and bigger. It's like global warming.
I recall a few angel movies, but that fad didn't even touch the vampire one.
I never liked vampire movies, so their bastardization doesn't bother me.
Now, if they write a book about angsty, mint-smelling zombies who just want to be loved by girls 1/100th their own age, I'd probably go postal.
Although with movies like Resident Evil, zombies have already been bastardized enough...
I just saw the kids from the movie on my soda cup from some fast food place (I mean, I've seen them before, when I'm FFing by a commercial on my TiVo, but I thought of this thread and took a good look at them). Well, just the three main characters, two boys (the vampire and the bad werewolf?) that is. These are "dreamy"? They weren't at all attractive to me, they're petulant, angry, sullen-looking children, there's nothing the least bit sexy or attractive about them.
I don't get it either.
Ursula Vernon used them with great effect in her comic Digger. (Well, squash, but they're based on the same folk legend.)
