We have been having the same issue as BeeDub with our 3500. Screen goes blank for a few seconds and then comes back. Not on all channels either.
The signal strength remains strong at all times too, so if it is a software fix for the 3500, that sounds great!!

I personally think this issue is Smart Card related.
I would be calling Bell and logging a complaint, stressing that this has ONLY occured AFTER the new Smart Card was installed.
At the very least they should ship out another Card.

It was the connectors. Replaced the ones at the LNB
