Thread: What happens to the official pace car after a NASCAR race? Do they auction it,...

...sell it, or give it away? I know the respective car manufacturers create and sell replicas, but what happens to the actual car they use during the race?

I've seen a few get auctioned off for charity at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Arizonia.

It looked to me like the pace cars at Vegas will be on patrol later tonight, and all you have to do to get a ride in one is break the law in Las Vegas. They were Police cars.

a lot of times they will use it over and over, but sometimes at the end of the nascar season, the track owners will auction it off to charity.
