Recently doing even the simplest of tasks is leaving me really out of breath. im not the fittest of people but im in pretty good shape and even climbing up some stairs is leaving me gasping for breath. Also when i do propper exercise i get a really sharp stabbing pain in my chest and a really fast heartbeat and feel really light headed like im going pass out. thanks if anyone could help at all.

I think you're looking for the advice that you already know; you need to see a doctor. Exercise shouldn't produce stabbing pain. Some types of exercise cause some discomfort, of course, but not the type of pain you're describing.

You might have a condition like exercise induced asthma, which usually can be treated relatively simply. It may not be worse than that. But you have to find out! Make yourself a promise that you'll call tomorrow for an appointment.

Good luck to you and keep us posted!

How old are you? Do you have any previous medical conditions? History of smoking? Does anyone else in your family have a history of heart problems.

It really sounds like you have stable angina.

It sounds like you need some simple heart medication to fix what is wrong with you. Go to the doctor so you can enjoy life a little better. Good Luck.
