Pain left shoulder,neck,ear,eye,temple,and in head above the eye

If there is someone that can help me i can only say god bless!
I started with shoulder pain moving up into my neck moving into my ear feel like earache and now it moved to my eye in and around the eye and it moved to the temple into the head above the eye. The pain is very sharp and no pain killers is stoping it the docter give me cortisone and voltaren injections but that dont take the pain away. The pain are there 24/7 sometimes dull sometimes sharp and throbing. I did see an eye specialist now and he said that the left eye is reduced by about 20% blood flow my most severe pain is in the night. I am a sleep wake up with this severe pain in the eye head and temple down to the ear and neck and shoulder. It put deep head on the neck ear drops in the ear and take tenston pain killer just lie still and pray that god must please help me the pain is so severe that it feel as if someone is taking a nife and turn it in my brian. It feel like tooth ache, headache, my eye feel like it is hanging or feel like popping out. In the morning my eye is swolen and feel very sore. Never wide open when the pain start to the end it stay small. The pain never go away it is there 24/7 it only change in sore, very sore and killing sore. Please someone is this a shoulder, neck, ear, or eye problem all mri scan show clear for a tumor - were do i go from here i do not have a life anymore. Medical depledted and my childrin suffer with me - because i am so short tempered with the pain that i sometime snap at them - feel bad after that apologize but next time it happen again. One docter recomended a rezotimy. Please someone out there can you help me with some answers. Thank you

Hi, You reminded me of the horrible pain I once suffered. I had the same symptoms with horrible headaches. They gave me morphine in the hospital, and that didn't take the pain away. The dentist said I had Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Syndrome. I had to find a specialist, which wasn't easy, to get treatment. This may or may not be what you're dealing with, but you should take a look at the TMJ boards here. See if you see any similarities. Gook luck, and I hope you find some relief. :wave:

What pain tablets are you taking now?

There are some very strong pain killing tablets avaliable with your doctors prescription.

In the mean time, I would suggest you try taking 2 Empacod and 2 Nurofen Plus at the same time.

Although the location of your pain is different the rest of the story sounds more familiar than I care to remember. Also, you mentioned a loss of blood flow to the eye. When they did your MRI did they check the discs in your neck. I had a herniated disc about ten years ago and went through the same type of pain except it was in my shoulder neck and arm. As a result I lost partial feeling in two fingers. It didn't show up in an xray but when they did an MRI they found it and removed it surgically immediately. The pain was gone from the time I woke up from surgery. It was the greatest feeling in the world. Hope this helps!

Hi, I am glad I came to this web-site, you aren't the only one suffering w/ these symptoms. I get sharp temple pain and eye pain along w/ right forehead pain. It is fustrating & scarry. Pray a lot and have faith that God would not let you down, He has an answer for everything. I get this pain more when lieing down to sleep. Stressed out too why they can't find what is wrong w/ me. I also have neck, back pain also. They told me I have a pinched nerve in my neck & spine. I believe this pinched nerve is causing the problems. I am also experiencing numbness all thru my right ear, that's not fun & it's only when I sleep on my right ear. I pray we can find answer. Trust God.

I agree that you should consider seeing a TMJ specialist. I discovered mine due to ear, neck and shoulder pain.
