Troy
just did not go any where
except down the toilet
It has to be Lost in Translation, Ive never found it so hard to watch a film, its the first film Ive actualy wanted to shot myself in the head to end the pain.
Harry Potter yes, but did Tolkein intend the LOTR series for children? I actually thought he wrote those for adults. Years of study is what resulted in LOTR - Tolkien was a linguist and also studied folklore around the world, all of which helped shape the LOTR series.
Don't you think that sometimes it is nice to put yourself in the shoes of a child, and even if momentarily, take the complications out of life?
Go on, lighten up and give them a go
...yet loved by millions.
I can't believe no ones mentioned Love Actually yet, its awful.
Virtually every film I've seen this year has been over-rated
I-Robot
Troy
Lost in translation
Spiderman
Well, personally-speaking, that's because I haven't seen it.
"shawshank redemption".hated it
"thirteen"-meandering and pointless and trying too hard to be shocking
"big fish" the worst tim burton film i've ever seen
I saw the first LotR film with my mum, I borrowed it off my auntie, because she was going on about how good it was. We watched it. My mum fell asleep half way through, and when she woke up and saw the end, she said "Is that it! We had to watch 3 hours of a film that sent me to sleep just to see them get to their next destination, and we have to watch the other films to see what happens!" It was really boring!
Oh, and I have noticed a lot of you have been going on about Harry Potter. Before I saw the film, I did think that the hype over the books and films was too much, but I saw the first film, enjoyed it and then went on to read the books!
The films, I have to admit, are "kiddiefied" meaning that they are tonned down and the best bits picked out for kiRAB, but the books are so much better! They are not for kiRAB, well the first 2 may be, but the rest are much darker. JK Rowling herself didn't want to read them to her children, it's the media that makes non Potter readers think they are just for kiRAB, read them, and this may change your opinion.
