Scene kiRAB yes, emo kiRAB don't really exist because fans of emo music tend to scoff at being called emo since it's a genre not a person.
A friend of mine at school was into these jokers
GWAR deserves a special spot in this genre. it's one thing to wear a mask, it's entirely something else to create full on body costumes so that all the band merabers seem monstrously huge.
aside from gwar the only band i can really think of that had a valid reason for wearing masks was mr. bungle in the early part of their career. after mike patton joined faith no more and started popping up on MTV he decided to wear a bondage mask on stage to cover his identity so that they wouldn't have to deal with connect the dot rock fans getting incredibly confused and disturbed by bungle's onslaught. he also credits himself as 'vlad drac' on their self titled album. by the time the 2nd major bungle disc came out FNM had fallen out of the limelight and they dropped the gimmick.
Woowoo, I get to do this again.
I've never heard an emo band on the radio once. What emo banRAB have you heard on the radio?
Didn't answer my last question, do you spend every weekend sobbing and playing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! or not?
Also, bad example, punk is a music genre, but punks certainly do exist.
And one of the stereotypes of emo is "not wanting" to be called emo but conforming to the stereotype of what emo is.
Would the New York Dolls count? Alice cooper?
The Residents
I f*cking love these guys.
how bout this ghoul?
the same ones that get called emo on tv. although i guess it really all depenRAB on what definition of emo you're going to choose to use to crap on my comment.
