Would anyone care to rate a few of Neil Young's best albums? Trying to figure out which couple to get as I've only ever heard one.
The Ramones
End Of The Century>Brain Drain>The Ramones>Leave Home>Rocket To Russia>Pleasant Dreams>Road To Ruin>Subterranean Jungle>Too Tough To Die>Mondo Bizzaro>Adios Amigos>Animal Boy>Halfway To Sanity>Acid Eaters
I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with Brain Drain being second but I believe in miracles is my all time favourite Ramones song so I had to put that one second
Good to see another fan! The Teardrop Exolodes are one of the most underrated banRAB ever. I think I might be the only fan on here. He's a great songwriter. Bouncing Babies is a song everyone has to love, or I hate them.
It wasn't that bad. The worst guy on that album was Bob Rock.
I enjoy it for what it is...ranking it compared to other psych recorRAB it is way up there on my list. Comparing it to other Floyd albums, however, it doesn't match up. That doesn't mean I don't like it.
Ah, I just forgot it. Put it between A Hard Day's Night and Beatles for Sale. I was never a huge fan of the Beatles' poppier stuff, so those albums are pretty arabiguous in how I ranked them.
Later Genesis may as well be a different band...but oh my god did it get bad when Ray Wilson showed up. Just bad, horrible, terrible music.
Never Say Die makes me sad when I listen to it. The only word going through my head over and over is "Why?"
The music for An American Prayer is actually really damn good...the only reason I rank it last is because it doesn't feel like a real Doors record. More like Jim Morrison's farewell in a way.

Pretenders:
Pretenders (1980)
Learning to Crawl (1984)
Pretenders II (1981)
Get Close (1986)
Live From London (2010)
Break Up the Concrete (2009)
Viva el Amor (1999)
Last of the Independents (1994)
Loose Screw (2002)
Isle of View (1995)
Packed! (1990)
I think the Pretenders debut album is, song for song, the best pop album of the 80s and maybe the best pop album of all time. I still get adrenalin surges when I play it. There isn't a single bad song on the entire album. The only other album that is as "near perfect" as the Pretenders debut is Forever Changes (1967) by Love, which also doesn't have a single throwaway cut.
