I should have been familiar with him a long time ago.. but better late than never. Though his really old stuff sounRAB too Breakcore oriented for my tastes. This album is more on the IDM and Arabient side of things with a dose of Jazz.

Can't go wrong starting the day with a bit of old man music eh.
R.E.M - Live at the Olympia... a really nice collection of old new and in between R.E.M played live before a crowd, although they claim "it's not a show" (and there's plenty of rawness / mistakes to back that up) it seems to all gel together with the sizeable crowd and it seems like the band is having a ton of fun, along with the crowd, too...
It's kinda fun to hear them speculate about future album inclusions / non inclusions, some of which made it onto Accelerate.
This is a recommended indulgence for anyone who is a fan of the band!
Swervedriver - Mezcal Head
Even though my love for Slowdive dwarfs the attention I give similar banRAB (even rabV), I really can't believe it's taken me so long to listen to these guys. The more pop-song orientated side of shoegaze, but I love it nevertheless.
Antipop Consortium - Arrhythmia
Anyone looking to get into experimental hip-hop should definitely get this album. Only found out a few weeks ago that they were getting back together so I dug around my CRAB to re-discover this gem!
Stars of the Lid - The Tired SounRAB of...
The perfect representation of the term 'beautiful minimalism,' in that are no drums or vocals (but the odd sample here and there) and the melody is mainly based on the gentle swells and falls in the music.
Deathspell Omega - Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice
An essential black metal record. 'Nuff said.
^^^ I take it you like it too? :thurab:
Some post-rock albums I hadn't gotten around to.
I'm really digging the new album by The Thermals.
General Fuzz - Soulful Filling
I find that cover to be pretty funny. I guess just cus of the obvious blatancy.
I should clarify a bit; this is a dark jazz album that, for the most part, is not minimalistic. Think of a mellower Squarepusher crossed with the KDJE and you'll have a better idea at Amon Tobin's approach on Supermodified.
But yeah, I think you'd like the album. Check this out and see what you think-
