Yes - The Yes Album
One of my favorites from Yes. Maybe not their biggest achievement, but it's accessible and not over the top. It's fun and well played.

Richard Hawley-Lady's Bridge
Perfect insomniac listening.
A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms
Kreator - Enemy of God
Simply put, this is by far Kreator's best album. The album sticks to Kreator's roots of thrash metal, oppose to a few earlier albums, which drifted into death metal territory.
As per usual, Kreator brings their instrumentally talented work into Enemy of God, with catchy guitar riRAB and awe-striking guitar solos. However, the album also incorporates less common 'Kreator techniques', such as an acoustic guitar intro on 'Dying Race Apocalypse', a bass intro on 'Voices Of The Dead', and a drum intro on 'Impossible Brutality'.
It's "antifolk" I guess, but it's so fun, upbeat, incredibly happy and whimsical and all sorts of awesome.
That album is certainly a grower alright, it's now my favourite album of the years so far. After a few listens you start to notice the progression from Cease To Begin both lyrically and musically. It's a truly amazing album and the best of their career so far.
As some of you may have noticed from a few of posts today, I'm on a Church bender :
The Church - Sometime Anywhere
I think this is my favourite of their albums as well (certainly of late anyway). Much more melancholic, slow and a lot less guitar-centric than you'd imagine, and with a few folk influences to spice things up. Just a shame the sound quality on my copy's so shit - sounRAB almost like listening to it through your neighbour's wall.

I love that album. If it wasn't so bloody short it'd be in my personal top 10.
Slayer - Reign in Blood
:band:
This album is so great, wish I'd gotten into their early stuff sooner
Copy cat. :P My link didn't seem to work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong ...
