Good, a valid reason. Much better than 'I haven't heard of these so I'm gonna vote no'

I'll go ahead and say yes. They've influenced a couple banRAB that I like (Rishloo and Fair To Midland) and if anything I think they deserve a shot. They'll probably get put out in the induction round, but you know, why not let them get at least that far? I dig what they do.
True. (I like Smith though) should the percentage be raised higher? I mean 50% isn't that much.
I actually sometimes wonder if Jimi deserves all the praise he receives.
I love his music, personally...but I can't help but feel he is one of those flukes that everyone just agrees they have to like. Did he really make music that everyone enjoys?
I hear their sound in a million banRAB I listen to. I was listening to The Vaselines today for example, and it's easy to hear how much they lifted from the Velvets. Their music has inspired a very diverse range of musicians. More importantly, I think they're great. The first two albums are fantastic and groundbreaking, and the 3rd is a great pop album.
Resounding yes from moi!
We'd be alienating a whole section of our posting audience if we just kept being lame popular music junkies and didn't inject just a shred of culture, not to say i am actually cultured, but I respect those who are... so I am voting yes...
Statements like that make baby Jesus cry
Response for Big3: I have voted no because of the overwhelming nuraber of artists that I feel should be nominated before Tom Waits.
So yeah, I think we should consider this a victory for King Crimson.
I've heard the Aeroplane album once, and I didn't like it. I suppose I should give it another go... I didn't vote, by the way, since I don't really feel qualified to make this call.
