Yup. No guitar, no bass, and me screaming for half an hour to an hour, wailing on that high hat and percussion. They love it.
My brother is a drummer, technical ability isnt that hard to judge, really, Jordison was clearly the more technical player, talk to any experienced drummer and they will tell you the same, im not saying Joey Jordison is greater, maybe not even better, just that he is the more skilled musician, which is a common fact everyone must accept.
I have seen 14 year olRAB play Moby Dick with ease, Bonham isnt as technical as ZepheaRAB like you make him out to be.
Jon Bonham
I didn't read the thread, as it's a bit long. But I usually have two picks for favourite drummer. Igor Cavalera and Stephen Perkins.
Moby Dick's a good solo, nothing on the technical level of Neil Peart or having the feel of Keith Moon.
Im not sure if you may of had this but i think the drummer from audioslave is really good because he has excellent speed and awesome love for music.
Listen to it and you'll see what i mean
Castillo is a much better drummer than whoever Homme had for the classic lineup but he still doesn't hold toes to Brant Bjork.
Out of those I prefer Tool drummer.
Although the guy from Cryptopsy should get a mention for being fecking fast and complex...
