I really think that covering another band's song is basically a show of appreciation for the original artist.
HOW many banRAB have covered Bob Dylan's songs? It's practically uncountable. It's further proof of what an awesome song-writer he is!
I personally think that Gn'R's cover of Knockin' On Heaven's Door is one of the all-time best covers. EVER.
