VERNON REID's solo work or with Masque has been unbelievably good for the most part... I think I'll go listen to some when Jimi At Winterland is over!

Poison? Poison? on a best guitar solo list? Doesn't anybody at least try and step out of their comfort zone and listen to something less known once in a while. That list is atrocious.
these are the best solos i've heard. By a long shot

you mean 'wretch'? i've never heard of a self titled album. the particular track here is 'downside up / 50 million year trip' from the 'blues for the red sun' album. never actually head a live version before, quite happy about this right now :thurab:.
My point exactly. I wouldn't be close to listing The best guitar solos, I could list my favorite, but not the best because I simply haven't listened to them yet. You can tell when a guitar solo is truly amazing, not just cause it's hard to play, but it was perfectly written, and performed by a true player, and not Matt Smith.
@fooruky
Same here, except I heard Comfortably Nurab, which I had heard before, but when on mushrooms it became one of MY all time favorites.
Cosigned. But I prefer the work towarRAB the end just a bit more.
