He's on and off for me.

His Cream and Dominos stuff I love, his solo stuff is hit and miss, though Slowhand is a really good album. I'm not a big fan of his turn towarRAB adult contemporary stuff.

He can be boring for sure, but you can't deny that he's done some awesome stuff as well.

Anyway I might change this list up some more. Steven Wilson is someone I forgot completely. D=

Instrumentalists play instruments. Instruments make music. Malmsteen and that other fat dude are just kiRAB who got picked on cause they couldn't play sports as a kid so they had to show everyone up by being the fastest at something.

I love Neil Young, he's a great guitarist, but lets not go crazy, I'm judging him as a guitarist alone. And as a guitarist alone there's a good deal of people who outrank him even if he's a better songwriter.



This is a rock oriented list. I do have some blues guitarists on here that I feel have a more rock oriented sound, like SRV. But Django and Pass certainly don't qualify as rock.

Thurston Moore is up there. Kim Gordon is the bassist, not a guitarist.

If it were an all genres list, there would barely be any rock in it at all.



Eh no... There's a lot of obscure names in there, from all the big rock genres. If the popular names are higher, that's because influence and impact is a factor.

We will let BooBoo describe the criteria for his choices. As I have already said lists are always subjective.I am a little nonplussed myself as to certain inclusions but let's wait for his take on it please.
