 Which ones have you seen?
The ones I've seen recently are "Scrub Me Mama With a Boogie Beat" and "Coal Black and De Sebben Dwarfs" (Snow White parody)

I love controversial cartoons!
:rotfl:
I always thought anything that has Disney related stuff will be under the Family section...or at least in the case of Suncoast.
Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out this weekend
Does anyone remeraber the episode of Looney Tunes where Elmer Fudd is after Bugs Bunny but as a mountie of some sort. After he arrests Bugs, Bugs is sent to execution but makes one last wish....that he wishes to be a dixie?
This is the final scene that was cut off (due to the reference on what is known as blackface...supposedly as how cartoonists would draw blacks):
Some other pics. Bugs having a bit of reserablance to Hitler in order to fool a German:
And Bugs...um...trying to blend in:
Don't get me wrong. This is how Disney drew Japanese in their cartoons during the WW2 era:
(In fact, if you watch Jungle Jitters, one of the Africans that have spoken was given a stereotype of a Japanese voice).
On another note, I wouldn't be half surprised if people look at this and start getting shocked that Donald would do something like this. Just remeraber folks, it was part of history that didn't exactly have the audience of kiRAB in mind.
Compare cartoons then to now. That's why some of the oldies are either edited or banned.
I heard that cartoons were actually meant for adults back in the days...or at least those who would pay to go inside the theatre and watch 10 minutes worth...:look:
I think Hitler's Children did scare me at the end when I first watched it.
Hi Yamiko. Try the animation section. I found mine in among all the other Disney dvd's when I bought it. You have to be quick though because I've noticed the older two disc tins are going out of print fast. Good luck!
Kris, it's creepy those cartoons actually existed.
Definitely. Also, when I saw that Donald Duck cartoon... I may never look at Disney the same way again.
I found some clips. And yes, even Superman attacked the Japanese during the WW2 era. I think this is one of the clips you might be reffering to:
Superman- Japoteurs
And some others:
Superman- Eleventh Hour
Superman- Showdown
Superman- Jungle Drums
Add Popeye to the list. There's one episode entitled "You're a sap Mr. Jap"
Popeye WW2 Episode
By the way, I found the Donald Duck's Der Furher's Face. Notice in the first scene that almost everything in Donald's house (even the rooster) has something that's rooting for Hitler.
YouTube - Der Furher's Face
And also Hitler's Children :look: If you think Disney seemed a bit cute from the time Snow White came about, this might throw you off. (Watch it asap because I think it's more likely they're going to take it down again!)
Hitler's Children
I'm hoping one day someone would put up Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs (parody of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs).
I heard many of the classic Superman cartoons attacked the Japanese during WWII.
