PLEASE HELP!

I just got a blackberry bold 9780 last night.
I know how to take pictures with it, but it will not work! I have even watched tutorial videos on it to make sure I was doing the right thing. When I press the middle button to take a photo, it does absolutely nothing! In the videos I watch, when they press the middle button, it automatically snaps a photo! Please tell me something isn't wrong with my blackberry! I don't have time to take it in, and I JUST got it!
When I say nothing happens, I mean the phone has no response to me pushing the button. It doesn't even take a picture! It says I have no photos on my phone. I have went into options and made sure that the settings are correct. Nothing is working
