I just bought a 1995 Dodge Stealth (Really a Mitsubishi 3000GT) and the previous kid that had it before I did, had a alarm installed in it. First off let me tell you that this kid was a moron. Though i never met him by the way the car was hooked up with his 'cool' sub woofer and other useless crap he had in it that probably drove him to get a alarm installed on a car thats over 12 years old. Well if he took it to a specialists to install his alarm and other 'Cool' interior lights, then they FUCKING SUCKED! I mean this kid used Electrical house wire to hook up his sub woofer and speakers. On behalf of this kids attempt to be cool show off to his buddy that he installed a sub system (By the way was taken out with the radio and all the speakers prior to me buying it) I found out that the Alarm he had installed on the car, that was supposedly disabled or deactivated, was not. It sill works. Some how or another the system started to work again, out of the blue. Now at random, the shock sensor will work spontaneously and disable the ignition. The horn does not sound with the alarm but the interior lights and external lights flash. So on my own experiment I was trying to get the dome light to work in the car, because it does not work at all with the alarm. I pulled the fuse for the dome light to check if it was blown, in result that set the alarm off. Now the wireing is so confusing on this car because this kid wanted all these cool gadgets but didnt want to take the time or money to have a professional do it. So I want to know. Can i disable the alarm some how so it wont have a mind of its own anymore? I know where the Shock sensor is, fuse box, hood sensor and all. I want to disable it so it doesnt randomly decide to have a spaz attack and stop me from starting my car. any suggestions, or should i just take it to a specialist
