I hope you mean 7 hours. I think mine are around 5-7 hours

Nope, 17.5 hours is what it says on my information packet; and the lights go out when they're done charging and they went out @ about 17 hours last time so it's right. Other chargers w/ batteries were like $15+ for their kits, the Kodak kit w/ four AAs was $9.xx before taxes at Wal-Mart, so the charging time doesn't bother me at all.
it's true. i've been using the same set of rayovac 15 min rechargeables for a year now in my wireless mouse
at first they batteries would last a week and a half without needing to be recharged
now they last maybe 3 days
I got rechargable batteries. I doubt a Wiimote charger will be out any time soon.
You must have misread somewhere. My grandpa's NiCad batteries don't even take that long to charge. 17 hours is insane. I don't mind charging my slow ones because it can be done overnight (7 hours max). But 17.5 hours is about the same amount of time they last when using them in a wiimote.
EDIT: 15 minutes vs 17.5 hours on a 5 deal isn't worth it IMO
Scroll up for the Joytech recharger station. As far as I know, Nintendo has no plans for a charging station and plans to let the 3rd party companies handle it.
i think i read somewhere about someone who opened up the remote and came to the conclusion that was impossible to charge the batteries from the remote connector.
