I went out of town for a while and asked my husband to make sure he rode my 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250 periodically to prevent it from getting gunked up. He didn't. I'm not sure if this is related to the problem or caused the problem. My bike will start, but if I don't use the choke or manually hold the throttle open, it will not idle fast enough to stay on. I'd prefer not to have to take my bike apart and clean the carbs if it's something simpler than that. And, I'm really hoping it isn't a problem with the fuel mixture or something like that.

Ideas?
I'm in Orange County. It is not cold. The bike can idle with the choke on forever and when I turn the choke off, it will not stay on.
